🐉 DraGo has news! Over 200 players are already joining EGC 2027!
The European Go Congress 2027 is getting closer, and our swamp dragon DraGo has been busy! We’re excited to announce that more than 200 people have already signed up for EGC 2027. The adventure is underway—and we’d love to have you join us!
🎟️ Early bird ends 31 August!
If you’ve been thinking about joining EGC 2027, now is the time to sign up. Our early bird pricing deal ends on 31 August 2026, so there are only a few days left to take advantage of the lower price.
DraGo recommends not waiting until the last minute—secure your spot now and start looking forward to two fantastic weeks of Go, friends and fun! If you can’t make it for the full two weeks you also join us for one week or the weekend tournament!
🛡️ More flexibility: risk-free cancellation until 31 January
We’ve also made an important change to our cancellation policy. You can now cancel your registration risk-free until 31 January 2027. That means you can sign up now, take advantage of the early bird price, and still have plenty of time to change your plans if necessary.
🛏️ Would you like to stay at DraGo’s hostel?
We’re currently working on our own hostel-style accommodation for EGC 2027. We’re hoping to create an affordable and social place for players to stay during the congress—but before we move ahead, we want to know how much interest there is.
Would you be interested in staying there? Check out all the details in our newspost here: https://www.egc2027.nl/articles/4

Den Bosch is a beautiful old city, but it is not a typical backpacker destination. So there are no hostels. To fix that, we will create our own DraGo hostel by renting a sports hall at the Sportiom and putting walls and beds into it. The rooms will be basic, just single beds (complete) and space for your luggage. Changing rooms will provide plenty of showers. Wifi and central lockers with phone charging are included. The location has a canteen where you can buy drinks and meals (like a breakfast buffet for 9.50 euro), paid swimming pools and even a bowling center with its own bar.
It is 2.4 km to the playing venue "1931" as the dragon flies, a few more curves if you walk, drive, grab a Dutch bike or take the bus.
Pricing per night would be as follows:
69 euro for a single room.
79 euro for a twin room.
29 euro for a bed in a six-person room.
We think that the DraGo hostel would be a great and affordable place to live together with other Go players. But setting this up is a major investment in time and money, so we want to know if you all agree with that. So please let us know. There is no commitment on your side, but once we go live you will get priority in booking.
If you know others that might be interested then feel free to forward this or just include them in your count.
Are you possibly interested? Then please send a short email to planning@egc2027.nl , for example "One bed for two weeks for me" or "Maybe two twin rooms for my family."
On top of that, she is a well-known singer and song writer with a wide repertoire, mostly performing J-POP and anime songs. Have a look at https://www.tiktok.com/@joanna_711 to get a taste of her fantastic singing.
The good news is that she will collaborate with us and be attending the EGC2027 as a cultural ambassador, promoting Go and Japanese music. To start, she will sing a few songs during the opening ceremony. Then on the evening of Tuesday July 27th she will give a mini-concert on her own. This is your chance to hear her live, you don’t want to miss this!
